Premier's Buchanan plant has a manufacturing focus of flexibility utilizing a variety of CNC's. Part requirements will dictate the appropriate CNC. CNC's offer more flexibility for mid program engineering changes through the use of tool changes and programming. Production lot sizes range from two to over 500,000 pieces per year

Premier's  approach to rapid high tolerance is through the use of PCD tooling and coated carbide. When possible tools are mounted into heat shrink or hydraulic tool holders, this combination allows faster feed rates and tighter tolerances.

        Buchanan's Machine List

   Premier uses dedicated machines when high volumes of parts are required. When Estimated Annual Usage exceeds 300,000 pieces per year, dedicated machines provide a more economical manufacturing option.

Automation / Assembly

	This automated bushing press is an example of our assembly automation that reduces operation costs. It is this type of automation that enables Premier to not only be a leader in die casting industry but also one of the most competitive.		This machine verifies that the correct three components are present, orientation of the parts is correct, and then assembles the parts utilizing an orbital riveter to mushroom four aluminum posts.

	Assembly operations like this cell show Premier's capabilities as a "One Stop Shop". This cell assembles five components and is the third of of four assembly operations.

Shot Blast

		Premier's Shot Blasting capabilities makes quality finishing and de-burring a snap. Processing in bulk, spinning hanger or flow through type of machines. Steel shot media removes any sharp burrs or protrusions, providing the finished parts with an even finish part-to-part.
